In this new thesis paper, the authors broaden and deepen their criticism of the inadequate epidemiological methods and instruments of data collection to date and point out concrete alternatives. In a second focus area, they outline a multi-layered alternative concept to the current practices of lockdown. In the third focal point, they address the social and political consequences of the measures taken to date to contain the pandemic as well as the communication failures of the decision-making centres. Finally, they make concrete proposals for a differentiated approach while respecting basic democratic rights.
